So I've been in baby frenzy since I was let off bedrest. Here are two things I finished yesterday!

The first is a baby mobile I designed to hang above my future daughter's bed.
It is one of those wooden "nest" wreaths with satin flowers that have been glued onto the sides and bottom, then, I've hung it with white tulle, and made a chandelier of book page butterflies.

The second is the wreath that will hand on the hospital door. I have since added a few small bookpage butterflies on the boa part, and her name will be on vintage wooden letters that are covered in bookpages to the left side.

ITS A GIRL!

Okay bloggers, so not only am I now officially 8 whole months pregnant, but I've been on bed rest for most of it which is why I haven't been posting! So since a few weeks ago we FINALLY found out we are having a little girl, I am off bed rest, and have been officially been able to craft after organizing my actual craft room since the move, this is what I've accomplished! I know its not the scrapping I usually do, but I think they are adorable!

Zebra striped crib shoes with felt lining.

Two tone pink & black tutu with zebra print and satin waistband.

Pink ruffle Browning diaper cover with zebra bows & pink (MUCH darker pink in person) centers.

Texas Longhorn tutu with matching 6 layer boutique bow.

Square toe pink crib shoes with black felt lining.

Camo Browning diaper cover with black edging.

Plain camo diaper cover.

White flower and swirl diaper cover with ruffles on booty.

White flower and swirl diaper cover, plain.

From boy to girl custom fit carseat cover. (the canopy was redone as well, its just not on in this picture.)

Custom bow board with custom boutique bows.

And my son's old shoes that have been upcycled!

Scrapbook Layouts!

Hey guys!!! So I've been pretty busy lately. I've been super sick for one, but I've still been crafting when my son's asleep, and when I have a free moment after doing housework and homework!

The first layout was done after we took my son to see the Lion King 3D, which if you haven't seen is absolutely breathtaking and I recommend everyone seeing.  I used the Safari Chic paper pack by DCWV, and cut different layers of random sized scraps I had from a mini I made recently.  I save almost everything I get from every event we go to, so I kept his glasses, the tickets, and the receipt from the concession stand and mounted them all on black cardstock!

The second layout was for my son's first day of day school. I used the Just Chillin' paper pack from making memories, and cut the First Day of School from the Locker Talk Cricut cartridge.  I never see anyone use this cartridge, but it is amazing, and I love the images on it.

The third layout I did was for my son's baby scrapbook that I am STILL trying to get in order! The paper pack is Twinkle Twinkle Little Boy from My Mind's Eye.  I used the New Arrival Cricut Cartridge for the Little One, and the little booty on the rosette. I layered different sized paper and backed his footprints on black cardstock. I then hot glued his hospital bracelets down and made a bow from some scrap ribbon I had left from the baby shower.

The last layout if from the baby shower, and I used the same paper pack as the one above and used my Gypsy to weld the onezies together from the New Arrival Cartridge. I placed some 3D sickers on some rosettes and I was done!

Little Boy's Paper Bag Mini!

So this is another mini I've done for a friend.  It was very fun and easy to make, and is mostly pull tags that way there is tons and tons of photo space!

It is made using black paper bags, Recollections cardstock, and the paper pack from me&my BiG ideas "BOY".  I used gold stickles for his name on the front, and a closure I found in the sewing section of the clearance isle at Michaels.

Cricut Craft Room Trials

Ok so I have been playing around in the Craft Room, and I have found while there are still quite a few kinks in it that I have reported, it is AWESOME!

I love my Imagine, but I hate using it because of all the wasted paper. CCR solves this. I can weld, adjust, and turn images as well as place layers, delete layers, and add layers. It is like a color version of my Gypsy! All the overlays show up on the screen, and it is just wonderful. Here is a screenshot!

I've welded the two announcements so that I can fold them in half and make a front and back, and edited the socks on Nursery Tales to allow for a photo on the back of it when I glue the two together!

Cricut Craft Room!!!

So every once in a while I will randomly log on to find out if I have been accepted to test the beta version of the Craft Room... and today, IT LET ME IN!!!! I'm so super excited I can barely breathe! So I am going to play with this tonight and let you guys know how it goes!

So for today as a project I've forgotten to upload is another monogram frame for my cousin's baby shower!

I used the same cartridges and measurements as the last one, except this shadow starts at 6, not 6.5, the mom's decision!
