Girly Monogram Wall Hanging

Today was a the birthday of a good friend of mine's twin girls. They are turning 1 today, and I always make things for them, never buy anything. So today I made two wall shadow boxes with monogram letters for their names.

I used the t-shirt boxes you get in the shadowbox isle at Michael's and at 40% off that made my receipt equal 12$ and some change after tax! I used the Gypsy font cartridge to cut the letters out at 5.5in the shadow at 5.75, and the black shadow of the letters is up on pop dots.. The white box is 6 in, and the black box is 6.5in. The green border is at 4x12in and the black behind it is 4.5x12in. I used some pink Recollections holiday ribbon I got on sale last year for 2$ for a huge roll, and the green is the Recollections you get at Michaels for 1$ daily. Here they are!

Halloween "Dinosaur Lovies" Scrapbook Layout

Happy Saturday!!! Tonight my son went to my father's house to stay the night with my five year old brother, and Justin went to our friend's birthday party. I originally was not going to be able to go to the party due to not having a sitter, so by the time my son decided to go stay over at my father's, I hadn't fixed my hair of makeup all day, so I stayed home to scrap!

Today's layout is using the Recollections Halloween collection, Crackle Accents, the Wild Card cartridge, and the Goo punch from Martha. I layered different colors of the cardstock, and cut the border frm one of the s off, then made a 1.5 in rosette and a 1 in rosette. I used the Wild Card cartridge for the bats and spider, as well as the web. Crackle Acts are on the bats, the blue goo, spider & web, and the eyes that were on the back of the paper. I hope y'all enjoy it!

Very Versatile Scrapbook Layout!

So this morning I completed another layout! I'm being super productive this week! School starts on the 29th of August for me, so I'm trying to get as much done as soon as possible!

So the layout today is using the the paper pack from me & my BIG ideas, and the Country Life cartridge, as well ass the goo punch from Martha Stewart. I layered different colors of the paper, and used some plain black and blue cardstock from Michael's line. I cut some of the buttons out off of the paper and glued them on super thick chipboard. I then used my crop-a-dile to punch the holes, and threaded my all time favorite, sisal, through the holes. I only did one 12x12 because it will go at the very front of his scrapbook for that year! Hope you guys enjoy!

Little Boys Layout!

So I'm still catching up on my son's layouts for his scrapbook! I've even found holidays that never got done from his first year!!! I'm so swamped! The process is slow, but its getting there... turtle speed.

So tonight while everyone is asleep, I snuck back to the kitchen table to scrap. This layout is made using the Printing Press cartridge and the Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More. I used my Gypsy to create the rings out of the blacked out circle tag, and used a mixture of capital letters and lowercase to get the birthday play that way! Then I made the rosette with the two strips of 1.25x12 in paper and two of the circles that came out of the rings... I then stacked two buttons on top of one another.

Monsters Layout

Hey bloggers! I know I promised a few video uploads to my YouTube today, but when I finally got my video camera from my moms, I realized my new computer does not have a Firewire port, so I had to hunt down my old Kodak digital camera to do this video. And now I am out of time to do the second video I really wanted to do!!! But, there is always tomorrow!

Anyways the layout I did today was for my son's birthday last year. I am trying to get all of the holidays done before this year's come up! It uses the Everyday Paper Dolls, Give a Hoot, Paper Doll Dress Up, and Wild Card!

New YouTube Video either tonight or tomorrow morning with layout demo and product reviews!!!

Hi bloggers!!! Happy Hump Day! We are two days away from Friday and there is so much to be done! Today I've been on my hands and knees cleaning the house, dusting baseboards, scrubbing hard wood floors... hump days are always my thorough cleaning days...

Anyways... just to let you know there should be a new video, maybe two, posted this afternoon on my YouTube, Composetherabbithole, but if not today then early tomorrow morning. How much laundry having to be folded depends on if I get to record it! I will be doing a Halloween layout, some product reviews, as well as showcasing some of my favorites!

I splurged at Hobby Lobby and went ahead and got the We R Memory Keepers Cinch book binding tool and some two inch binding rings for mini scrapbooks... ;( crafting really is an addiction. I then realized last night when I got up around three dreaming about it, (do you guys do that when you get new craft stuff???) that I can't do my paper bag albums with it, which are my favorite. It does open lots of doors for pocket or chipboard minis which are infinitely customize-able shapewise... I have heard very, very good things about it though, and when I researched the difference between the pink Cinch and the new blue Cinch 2.0, there was not enough upgrades on the new one to make me want it more. They are pretty much exactly the same.

So until next time bloggers, have a wonderful afternoon!!!

Edit:
Oh, and I finally just switched over all my subscriptions from my personal account to my active YouTube site!! And to apologize when I promised to make videos more often and haven't is due to I was recording them by tilting my laptop to where the screen was vertical to the table and I sold to laptop to a friend who needed it for her schooling and was dying to have it due to it was the Slime edition by dell. I plan on going to my mother's to dig through all my old stuff and find my video recorder from high school... If all else fails, I can still record with my camera, but my tripod is packed somewhere at my father's! Lol. This one bedroom studio apartment for three was not meant for a crafter, but I still love it, and it's enough space for us now!!!!

Oh and does ANYONE know where I can find the Hallowe'en in Wonderland paper stack???

Hobby Lobby has TONS of Clearance!

So I have no project completed for today's blog, but I did want everyone to know that Hobby Lobby has a ton of stamps on clearance for half off, but they have the Cinch binding machine on clearance for 59$ when it was originally 99$. And the 7Gypsy's binding machine for 14$ originally 30$.

I've always wanted a binding machine for my mini scrapbooks, but I don't know anyone who owns one, and I don't know if it is worth buying. Any suggestions?

Another discovery I made today is that when I cleared out my comment inbox, it deleted all the comments! So I am seriously apologizing for any comments left that got deleted because I didn't know!

Dinosaur Layout!

So I was going through my son Layne's scrapbooks today, and not only did I realize that I haven't done has Halloween or Christmas pages FROM LAST YEAR, I also have missed his birthday ones. School had me super busy last semester and I guess I just never got around to it. So within the next few weeks, I will be doing dinosaur/monster scrapbook pages, Halloween pages and crafts, and even some Christmas and Thanksgiving ones! I have to catch up before this year comes around! So since my fiance is having his guys night, I was scrapbooking! (We have a "Constance can not scrapbook or craft when he is home due to us never being able to spend time together" rule.) So here is the layout I came up with! Hope you enjoy!

For this layout I used the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge as well as the Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge (for the clouds). The mountains are cut from the cowgirl page, and the grass is the shift version of accessory 3. The clouds are stretched and shortened to give them different looks, using my Gypsy, and the dinosaur is on the caveman page and I added a googly eye for cuteness! I printed my journaling out on white cardstock and inked the images with distress ink.

This layout has the same grass and clouds, but the volcano is from the Dinosaur Tracks cartridge, and the smoke is from the Paper Dolls Dress Up. I used my Gypsy's hide option to hide the volcano that was welded to the smoke because I preferred this one. I used a fine tipped Sharpi to draw the lines and cracks on it, and the elephant is from Everyday Paper Dolls.

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop Challenge!

Okay, so today we are going to my cousin's 5th Birthday party, and his cake has dinosaurs on it! I love dinosaurs, and they are one of my FAVORITE themes next to pirates, so I enjoyed making this cute card! I really want to get the Create a Critter cartridge for the dinos available on there, but being a full time student doesn't always allow for extra spending. :(

So on the blog hop the challenge is "your favorite thing." So I incorporated the rope stuff (which I have recently ran out of after it lasting me five years!) I have now learned is called natural sisal. I use it on everything including my son's birthday invites for the last two years! I also used dinosaurs, and distress ink, which is another favorite, and I printed the sentiments on my computer since I am not fortunate enough to have a craft store in my area that carries any decent ones. So here it is guys!

I started out with a 5 inch card from the Dinosaur Tracks cartridge, and used my Gypsy to cut the grass from Give A Hoot. I took all the paper out of my scrap bin so I have no idea where it came from. I ran the sisal around it to tie the five on, and the volcano, dino, and tree are all on pop dots!

Keeping up with crafting still!

So most of you know that I work with the Cricut A LOT, and that I make many mini scrapbooks and such, but I also do a lot of artwork for tattoos as well as posters and such. So here I am to share with you my latest designs, and I HATE having to ruin them with the watermarks, but I have had some of the artwork stolen before and put on commercial websites. The first one is done with plain pencil and computer paper, and the second is done on sketch paper.
I have a new mini I'm working on and a few new scrapbook pages you will see most likely on Monday, but until then ladies... have a wonderful weekend!
